First and fore most, have fun! This is an incredible adventure that you are going through, most likely you have never planned an event like this so it is understandable that you might not know exactly what to do. We are here to guide you through our process and get you on the right track to creating a custom cake that reflects all the elements and details you deserve on your big day.

Here is the typical wedding cake breakdown:

We ask that you start by choosing 4-6 cake flavors & 4-6 frosting/filling components from that list and then give us a call at the shop to schedule your wedding consultation. When you arrive you will receive unfrosted cupcake samples and little cups of filling/frosting where you will be able to customize your own combinations on the spot.

Aside from enjoying cake samples, you will use this appointment to go over designs. Here at Pete’s Sweets we don’t have a weathered plastic binder with limited options to pick from. We ask that you take the time to gather some photos from sites like Pinterest, Google, or other websites. Email your inspiration photos, an estimated number of guests you are expecting, the wedding date/time, as well as the venue address so we can have pricing idea/suggestions ready for you at your consultation. We also ask you to bring any additional inspiration items such as fabric, ribbon, flower preferences, or other items that help us get behind the vision you have for your big day.

Once you have picked your wedding flavors, we will calculate an estimate and if you are ready to book with us you may finalize your order with a non-refundable deposit. This deposit holds your wedding date with us and officially places your order. If you need time to think it over, we are more than happy to hold your order for 72 hours. Your final guest count/payment is due 30 days before your wedding.

Delivery:

A fee is applied for all deliveries. Fee varies depending on location. We do not usually deliver more than 30 miles away from our location. (However exceptions can be arranged on a case by case basis).
